Summer Of Death Skate Contest Presented By Monster Energy and Half And Half Skate Shop Salt Lake City, UT – Skateboarders gathered at Exchange Place in front of Half and Half Skate Shop on June 11 to participate in the 17th Annual Summer of Death Skate Contest Presented By Half and Half Skate Shop and Monster Energy. Despite the rainy weather, skaters held their spirits high. Check out #SummerofDeath to see photos posted by attendees. The street was blocked off and filled with features, such as quarter pipes, bank-to-bank, ledges and even a Gatorade ramp that was at the former DIY spot at Fairmont Skatepark—plus, a killer close-out bump feature that host, Half and Half owner Milhouse, made that morning. The divisions were split into two groups: a 17 and under division and the open division. DJ NixBeat provided music throughout the event. Winners were awarded merchandise and trophy skate decks manufactured by After Dark Skateboards.
